Beidh an fhorbairt scoile seo á mbeannú ag an tAthair Pádraig Ó Fearchair. Bronnfaidh an Taoiseach na fáinní ar pháistí Rang 6. Tá carr-chlós úr ar chúl na scoile freisin. Beidh gá dúinn airgead a ardú chun na costaisí iomláine a ghlanadh. Beidh gá le airgead a ardú, agus táimid buíoch as bhúr dtacaíocht mar a thug tuismitheoirí thar na mblianta dúinn. Beidh cupán tae ar fáil.

PARENTS ARE WELCOME TO THE OFFICAL OPENING OF OUR NEW CLASSROOMS BY AN TAOISEACH, ÉANNA Ó CIONNAOITH.
27/6/11 10:00am: Bord Bainistíochta Scoil Raifteirí wishes to invite you to attend the official opening of our two new classrooms located at the back of our school building. Department of Education approved our grant application for replacement of one classroom in August 2010. The addition of two permanent classrooms, replacing our prefabs is a most welcome development in the history of the school for our present and prospective school pupils and staff. It is delightful that An Taoiseach Éanna Ó Cionnaoith, TD., will perform the offical opening of the new rooms, built in accordance with specification of Taylors Architects by 'Castlelough Construction' to the highest standards. An tAthair Pádraig Ó Fearchair will perform the blessing of the new structure. Rang 6 will receive the 'fáinne' from an Taoiseach. Bord Bainístiochta welcomes the additional parking facilities at the rear of the building. We will need to regulate our bus pick-up, set-down, walk-ways etc. approaching the school. In order to bring all our plans for our school to fruition we will need to do some fund-raising, and we hope that everyone will help out in the interest of better facilities for our pupils and staff in the years ahead. On behalf of the school, I wish to thank every parent for your support during this school year. I am sure that all pupils progressed, have gained useful knowledge and have enjoyed many of the opportunities, experiences, activities and subjects offered through the new experiences of the Revised Curriculum. Thank you for your support at school meetings, implementation of school rules, attendances and help during school activities for our pupils. Don Bhliain Romhainn/The School Year Ahead 2011/2012 This year we will have one class of Naíonáin Bheaga, and we wish our two classes of Rang 6 all the best amach anseo.

2. Clarú Scoile/School Enrolments: We wish to remind all parents to check that the brother/sister of the current enrolled pupils in our school are registered to start school on the correct year. Ensure that your child is on the list by letter providing all necessary information: name, address, school enrolment year, date of birth of child, etc. We welcome our new pupils who have joined our school this year, and we wish our pupils who are leaving the area well in their new schools. As you can see from the large posters at the gate, there are spaces available for pupils in Infant classes, and there is no longer a waiting list. New families moving into town who wish to be included on the enrolment list may do so by making an appointment. We appreciate your words of support and recommendations.
3. Oideachas Speisialta/Special Education (Learning Support and Resource teachers) : This area has been reviewed by the Dept., we are hoping to retain the services for this year. Buiochas le Múinteoirí Máire agus Niamh for their work with our pupils.
4. Drop-off/Pick-up and many thanks to everyone making great efforts with the park and stride. Buíochas to Ranganna 1-6 who use Geata Siopa an Rothair, park and stride, bike/walk, gach maidin agus tráthnóna! Beginning in September all schools will be having WOW(Walk on Wednesday Initative). Exercise care and caution if using school park area, as the safety of all our pupils is paramount. We highly commend those people who use their feet instead of the car!
5. Buíochas: I wish to thank the parents and staff of the school, for their support and financial contributions towards our school fund-raising needs to date. I wish to acknowledge, and express my thanks to our Bord Bainístiochta and Coiste na dTuistí members for their hard work, time, effort and loyality to the school for our pupils. I wish to acknowledge the receipt of €2,500, proceeds from Coirmceoil agus Aonach na Nollag 11, le buíochas le gach duine.
6. Foireann na Scoile: Buiochas agus Beannacht do Thríona Nic Fhinn agus Philomena Ni Chonmhaoil a thug seirbís iontach do pháistí na scoile agus a dtuistí. Beidh an tádh ar Ghaelscoil De hÍde, Gaillimh agus ar SN Naomh Pádraig Cathair na Mart. Fáilte ar ais le Majella Ní Chonduibh a bhéas linn tar eis trí bhliaina sos gairme. Best of luck and sincere thanks to múinteoirí Tríona and Philomena for the great service they provided for pupils and parents. We extend a warm welcome back to Múinteoir Majella after three years career break. Fleadh Cheoil Mhaigh Eo/Fleadh na nÓg: Go néirí go geal le gach buaiteoir a bhain páirt agus atá ag dul ar aghaidh! Comórtas F13, Comórtas F9-F11. Maith an obair! Bígí ag cleachtadh don Chomórtas Labhairt na Gaeilge sa Chraobh Chonnacht i mBaile an Mhóta mí Iúil agus Craobh na hÉireann i gCo. Chabhán mí Lúnasa.
Míle buíochas le gach páiste páirteach ann, a dtuistí, agus le Múinteoir Máire agus na múinteoirí ranga as ucht tacaíocht a thabhairt dóibh. This competition is helpful and a useful preparation for children listening to and answering questions in Irish. It is very good practice for Oral Irish tests, and all children should be encouraged to take part sometime.
Culaith Reatha na Scoile:School Track suit is available at Wear-it-Out, Cavendish Lane, Castlebar. Parents may order during the school year, or may do so in September. All pupils must wear full school uniform/full track suit on all school days and on all school related activities, unless otherwise notified by the classteacher. The support of every parent is requested to ensure that the uniform rule is complied with by every pupil in the school. We ask all parents to buy at least two white polo shirts per child, two short-sleeved white shirts for the Infant Classes. Ensure that children have a supply of black tights or white socks. Coloured socks, coloured tights, coloured football jerseys are not allowed. Infant classes should wear shoes with Velcro. All items must be labeled clearly for easy identification, if mislaid. Long grey trousers, grey tie+grey pinafore+royal blue cardigan+royal blue v-knecked jumper+white shirt must be worn. The school uniform is available in Prendergasts/Fahy's, at Main St. Please buy all items a size or two bigger to allow for growth, thus making it is possible to get two years wear from uniform. It is the responsibility of parents, and as such are obliged to insist that their children are complying with the uniform rule at all times, that it fits properly, and that it is washed and worn with pride. Board of Management adopted this school uniform/track suit with the full support of parents of the school. Parents requested the uniform because it was cheaper, easier, neater, and appropriate dress code for our Gaelscoil pupils. Should items be mislaid/missing/lost it is the duty of parents to retrieve or replace them.It is wise to have extra items for emergency. Support staff.

Book lists have been prepared and are in the process of being issued to you, second-hand book sales (Margaí!)in the classrooms will be being organized by the teachers. We ask parents to follow the instructions on the Book Lists which have been organized by Rúnaí na Scoile Pádraigín agus na Múinteoirí Ranga. GRMA! We ask that parents would follow lists as specified.
We ask parents to arrange the purchase of all School Books/Copies/etc. on Book List during the summer and safe return of all items required to teacher/classrooms by September 1, 2011. We ask parents to ensure that books and copies are covered and labeled with the pupils name in Irish, Class, name of book/copy,etc. Ní neart go cur le chéile! This should avoid bother during the rest of the school year.

Billí na Scoile/School Bills: Please pay for Book Bills 2010/11Swimming 2010/11 bills asap. To all who have paid or made contact with us, please ignore this reminder and our thanks for your support. Book Rental and Swimming Bills for School year 2011/12 may be paid in September 2011. I wish to thank Pat, an Rúnaí who provides an excellent service, for all of us. Teacsleabhar Scoil Raifteirí: Please return to the class teacher those very important school textbooks/Mayo Co. Library/SR library books which your child used this year. Every textbook should be returned in good condition, for pupils use for next year. We appreciate it very much when all outstanding books are returned.
